Welcome to Möckelsnäs Herrgård!

mockelsnas.jpgTo sometimes leave your ordinary life, meet and spend time together in a different context, is a good investment in yourself! Möckelsnäs Herrgård and its surroundings is a perfect place for inspiring conferences and relaxed holidays, from which you´ll take bright memories with you for a long time.

Our hotel and flowery manor garden is situated by the lake Möckeln, in between shady beech woods. The nature parks Kronan, Taxås and Höö with their enclosed pastures, groves, winding paths and dramatic

ravines are our neighbors.

Their ancient biotopes give shelter to rare and preserved herbs and animals that the Swedish legal right of access to open country invites you to discover. Next to us you also find a new built Orangery in memory of the great Swedish 18-th century scientist Carl von Linné. His birthplace Råshult is situated nearby.

Even though this is a genuine part of the Swedish countryside, the populated areas are not really far from here. The small university town Växjö is located just a few miles away and from Malmö and Copenhagen airport there are direct trains to Älmhult, our nearest village.

Our kitchen is using ecological products as much and often as it can. In our light and beautiful dining-hall with a fantastic view of the lake´s mirror, your meal is guaranteed to be a moment of pleasure, no matter what you choose from our varied menu.

Next to the Manor you will find the Orangery, built in memory of the great Swedish 18th century scientist Carl von Linné. Here you can browse among more than 800 plants arranged in neat beds entirely under his Linnaeus Systema Naturae.
